At the risk of a new wasteful thread I totally apologize

I, like several others, have stayed out of the thread wars. I am tired of this shit. There are many boring, boorish, wasteful threads here. I have never bothered to educate myself with terms like troll, but in my imagination that would refer to people who waste other's time. For instance, the threads; Coldfooting, caliban said, 44 degrees, droll poem, great post, new shoes, seasonal spirit and barefoot at the malls.....as well as poems which can meet the criteria only in that they rhyme.....not something done in poetry since at least 1960.

Some people are rude and (only occasionaly funny) and others are not funny period.

So, the general bullshit going on here has pretty much ended my interest. So, maybe the sorta funny people will be grateful for this, but I am no longer wasting my time with Hip Forums barefoot threads. There are those posters here I like reading, but shit... not the silly one off pointless threads. Bye

    Hi hillman30!

I hope you don't go away. One of the things that concerned me about the filibuster of postings by one person was that a lot of "classic" contributors to the Barefoot forum seemed to be drifting away. When I first joined over a year ago there were frequent postings by you, Boogabaah, Shale, Nakedtreehugger, etc., etc., etc. These people rarely come around anymore. I can't help but feel they also were frustrated by countless new threads being created every day that lacked content. Further, I've found that my postings are greeted by a quick, pointless retort such as the "Great Post!" thread. Personally I think the person behind the pointless postings is either a juvenile or emotionally immature adult crying for attention. I've found little to indicate his postings are anything more than a feeble attempt to live out a fantasy vicariously through this forum.

Personally, I'd like to avoid censureship of what can be posted, but when one person has created 14 of 21 threads on the front page, a similar ratio on the subsequent pages, most of which no one responds to, I think there's a need to comment. Oh yeah, one of those is that pesky "poll" that's pinned to the top of each page of the forum. It was a valiant effort, but it's a dead issue.

Could we remove the repetitive pictures as well?

I assume you're referring to my signature pic. No problem - I'll take it down! I'm sorta tired of it as well - didn't turn out quite the way I envisioned it. Give me a day or two. I'm on the road right now and just catching posts before heading out the door. I'd like to get home and work on it from there.

Thank you. I am sure we are all happy to consider new, relevant and changing content from the members.

How about the blond who went on vacation to Miami? She wanted to buy a pair of alligator shoes but every one she saw as too expensive. She told the last salesman she was going to bag her own gator, being pretty good with a shotgun. He cautioned her the gators were big and fast. On his way home he saw her waist deep in a swamp. On the shore were seven gator bodies, all belly up. A huge gator was heading right towards her and BANG, she got him right between the eyes! As the blond struggled to pull him ashore, the salesman asked if she needed help. She declined and finally got the body on shore. She flipped him over and cried out "Ah crap, not another one!". The salesman asked what was wrong. She said "Just look. This one's barefoot, too!"
