I live in Wisconsin, and we got like 14-16 inches of snow and its gonna be like -20 degrees out tonight.
Seven feet that fucking insane https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NnZMahm1nw Now where does that rate all-time; and is it comparable to the Blizzard of 77’ in Buffalo, NY Hotwater
It didn't really snow all THAT much here lately. It did snow quite a bit, but nothing too spectacular. At the beginning of this week though, it was around -27 outside.
blizzard of 93 on the way to the see the GRATEFUL DEAD in Richfield was stuck inside a Gf's house, she had no food or basic provisions only lived a few doors from her mom. 24inces of snow I hoped in my Chevy Celebrity fwd didnt backout the driveway just floored it forward over the sidewalks curbs a few bushes nobody could see til it melted.. made it home in 20minutes went thru every stop sign and red light there was...
Ahh fuck. I'm already sick of this winter. I can't stand not being able to go outside for an entire season.
Can’t argue about a celebrity 16 years ago I went to the DMV in a chevy celebrity and passed my road test :cheers2: But regarding the Blizzard of 93' it was totally overblown (at least here locally) with a measly 20 inches Hotwater
Im going crazy over here! I havent been out in days, Im finally going out today cause its 3 degrees out but the sun is here so i feel safe lol YAY!
It was a huge record breaker for the Buffalo area that was actual snowfall from the lake, pretty much shut down the effected area's for like a week or so. I could not drive out of my street for 5 days before the national guard came and hit it with backhoes and dump trucks to take it away. Whats weird is that in 77 there was no actual snowfall, it was all snow that had accumulated out on the frozen lake and was blown in from high winds. I was pretty young then but I remember the snow drifts were as high as the second story of the house we lived in. I love really paralyzing snowstorms, as long as a beer store is in walking distance and I have plenty of weed its just like a forced vacation.
I love these big storms as well but unfortunately I was only 3 years old during the biggest storm this area has seen The Blizzard of 78’ with 4 feet of snow, and 100 mph winds which created drifts 20 feet high Coupled with astronomically high tides and wave heights of 40-60 feet, the coastal residents didn’t stand a chance as hundreds of homes crashed into sea Hotwater
It sucks to see massive damage like that on the coast but thats one of the prices for having a nice view of the Atlantic. It can also be very destructive. You never no what mother natures going to throw at you.
The storm was basically a hurricane (which included an eye) but during the winter. It was the first time the National Weather Service was willing to go out on a limb and identify it as such Hotwater
It was so amazingly peaceful and pure white everywhere! I love smoking when it looks like that outside.... but fuck the cold. It's gotten pretty cold here since.
