Guns in School

I stayed home sick to find out that a kid came to my school today wearing a bulletproof vest with a gun. WTF IS THE WORLD COMING TO.

kids are no longer made to deal with life, and they are desensitized to (the feelings, i guess, emotions, hell the existence of) other people. it is fucked up out there. i recommend dealing with reality first hand, and when you are able to flee the fucked up populace, do so.
a lot of kids are being failed by their parents, never taught that there are consequences. without an understanding of cause and effect you cannot make good choices with any regularity, and then people lash out like petulant children. "its mine!" BANG "see, told you it was mine."

I'm from Rockford, IL. I go to Auburn. and it's basically a zoo, it has somehow managed to make it to a new level of fucking ridiculous.
Two years ago a kid got stabbed and his intestines literally fell out into his hands.

Police: Student's gun at Auburn was loaded

ROCKFORD (WREX) - An Auburn High School student is under arrest after bringing a loaded gun inside the school.
Rockford Police Chief Chet Epperson tells 13 News the 16-year-old male student had the loaded gun tucked into the waistband of his pants. The student was arrested at the school and no one was hurt.
We called the school and they said all the students and staff were not in any danger.
A parent contacted 13 News to tell us he received a text message from his daughter saying the school was on a hard lockdown. A parent at the school also told us that she tried to get in the school, but was not allowed because it was on lockdown. We have been unable to get the lockdown confirmed by the school or police.
A press conference to release more details about the incident is scheduled for noon at District 205 Headquarters. District 205 Executive Director Earl Hernandez will be making a statement.
We will continue to bring you updates on WREX.com and on 13 News as soon as we learn more about this story.

 

That is messed up. I agree with Mother's Love, as usual. People should really have to get some kind of license or certification to have a child but anyone can have kids. When the parents don't pay attention to their children it's a problem. I know, as a parent it can be really easy to plop them in front of the TV and forget about them but it is so very important to teach them how to be a human being.

Since Columbine school shooting have become the cool thing, now the crazy and suicidal know they can get news coverage if they take out a bunch of people with them.

No idea. This school's got it's fair share of problems though. We'd already been placed on "soft lockdown" for the rest of the year because some kids got killed at a halloween party and they feared backlash at school.
A couple weeks ago this girl brought mace to school, maced this girl to the ground. another girl jumped over the maced bitch to protect her and the girl with the mace proceeded to beat the fuck out of both of them with a lock.

 

Too bad he didn't shoot anybody... could have made for a much more interesting story.

When I was in High School, if you got a new deer rifle or bow, first thing you did was bring it to school to show off.
