Wow i can not wait. I am going to Brazil. Never been before it is a dream I have always had tho! I have just quit my job and and thought hang on "Im going to Brazil". I'm flying on christmas Day and landing in Rio the day after and then return at the end of Febuary. I have never been before so i really dont know what to expect. But i would love to volunteer out there; maybe with street kids, orphanages or charities of some sort. I would need to learn portuguese as well so getting myself into a language school over there would be good also. I have travelled to thailand in the past and enjoyed it alot but alot of the time i was in tourist areas which at times felt abit like home from home if you know what i mean. So if anyone knows of any towns or villages in Rio or just outside Rio where i can meet a mixture of local Brazilians and tourists i would love to know. If anyone is out in Rio during this time give me a shout. Meeting for a drink with anyone off here would be excellent! thanks guys!
