    Very good.I don't know how you do it--I can't draw flies.Portraits must be very difficult to do,but you've got it.

    Thanks. Normally about 4 hours I guess.. maybe 3, I have a lot of cigarette breaks 'cause I get stressed with it, haha.

    wow ,4 hours! that takes a lot of focus.

    i've been doing a lot of portraits lately. my intent is to practice capturing the essence of the face. so it will be recognizable recreation of the subjects visage. you seem to do this very well with pencil.

    i have a lot of trouble achieving the darkest dark with pencil. i've been using pastels and charcoal a lot, plus i paint a lot with oils.

    have you got any charcoal? any other media that we can see? or just some more portraits....

    Have you tried using very soft pencils, like 6B or 8B to get very dark shades?

    I want to see a self portrait! the charcoal ones at the top have such good values to them compared to the rest of your work. youve got talent dear lets see somethin more original.
