Damn my body is sore as fuck. My elbow up, shoulders, and the back of my neck hurt so bad haha. I was practicing on the bunny hills and ate shit on my first major fall and fell right on my rib cage. It hurt so bad I almost cried but I sucked it up.It hurts to laugh or cough at this point haha. I had a blast though, once I got breaking down. It all came natural within an hour, so I'm definitely gonna buy my own board and stick with it. Only after a few runs on the bunny hill, my dude told me we were going down the mountain and I almost shit myself. Once we got off the lift and down the first part, I saw this huge drop and sat at the edge for about 3 minutes and everyone is down further waiting for me haha.Holy shit it was fun.It took us all about 45 minutes to all get down the first try and about 15 to 20 for my dude and I the second time around. The trails I'll post photos up once our friend uploads them.
Personally, I would want to start to ski again before I tried the board. Might as well call it waterboarding to me right now.
I'm going snowboarding every day for 2 whole months!! I'm more excited about this than anything i have ever been excited about. I just really hope i don't break my bones within the first month.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wQOLxQZXKw&feature=related This is where im going best place in Cali.
Well I longboard so it came a little bit easier.Once I saw the skiers zooming down the mountain I was happy I chose snowboarding. Going down a mountain with two sticks would freak me out. Have you boarded before? That was my first time and I'm walking around feeling like an old lady haha. I'm wearing a neck massager right now Damn dude, rocks would freak me out!
Our mountains are too old to get snow, well enough snow to board anyway...otherwise I'd be hitching straight to the Kerry mountains...:smilielol5: can't imagine a ski resort in Kerry :smilielol5:
Wooo that looks like a lot of fun! I have never snowboarded but I would looove to try sometime. I used to ski when I was younger, I was pretty damn good..
this will be my 7th or 8th season boarding...pretty stoked for it, but there still isn;t enough snow. Our local hill sucks ass (200 vertical feet, about 5-10 minutes to get up including time in line and 10-20 seconds to get down...) Gonna be a park rat this year as that's all there is worth riding there anymore. Probably spend more time urban riding than at ski hills...fuck Ontario.
Here this vid gives a much better perspective of Kirkwood. You actually see the main slope while on the main lift in this vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4ujUQmUHFk
Yeah I don't plan on being very involved with the rocks very much if at all, that was just an area of kirkwood that is for competitions. This is my 6-7th season going boarding, and it is my favorite thing. I would say i'm an advanced rider at this point, hopefully i can get good enough to be sponsered eventually. (I'm good at going fast i need to practice tricks) I do plan to try a backflip. Aghhghg I can't wait i'm going right after christmas.
not to crush your hopes and dreams, but to get sponsored these days you need to be pretty ballsy, while having a pretty unique style. Like this crazy motherfucker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ByivclJUeo
Indeed. I worked at Apex mountain resort in BC 2 winters ago, which is relatively small compared to whistler, but massive compared to anything that can be found in Onterrible.
Well it doesn't have to be THAt nuts, it does have to be crazy good tho, i know. I do plan to go hard but i am not sure how far i will go i know it will be pretty far.
i love snowboardin when i remember when i was first learnin i spent a lot of time on my ass but once u learn ull love it
