I love it when companies...especially large ones...do things that make the world a better place. Crystal Light just redid its packaging and in turn is saving over 250 TONS of it. What other companies have done little things like this that you know of?
I don't know of other companies that suddenly became socially responsible, but I know that Babyganics and Seventh generation are good examples of green corporations.
Well Porsche has installed enough solar panels to power about 400 homes on the roof of one of the factories that produces ego boosting oil drinking pollution machines. I tend to be a tad cynical and take the view that a lot of the changes companies make are bare mninimum attempts for PR. Having said that, any cuts that would have been made for cost reasons or as money spinners, that just happen to be green, I have no problem with them taking a bit of good publicity.
