Hey All, I was wondering if one could grind a bunch of pods at once and use only as much as needed, saving the rest. If so, should the ground pods be refridgerated? should they be frozen? Will they lose potency? Or should I just keep pods whole until time of use. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

The pods I have are stronger than the ones I have gotten in the past. Less than one pod is more than enough for the warm fuzzies, and a whole pod makes me nod to the point of a lower consciousness :) I use sparingly (weekends and sometimes midweek if my partner is working late) I'm guessing the amount I have could last me 2-3 months. It would be easier if I could just grind them all up and store them somewhere. So, in answer to your question, about 2-3 months. Again, any info is appreciated.

grinded pods is a slightly off white powder.

A white powder with a morphine content seems slightly more illegal than poppy pods.

is there any reason why you cant just grind them right before you make tea?

It would make them easier to hide. My partner is not aware of my hobby and would disapprove. Poppy pods are large and and grinding them would make them easier to hide and save time as well.

as long as they are stored properly i dont see grinded pods being worse that whole ones, im sure theres a small amount of oxidation that is probably sped up by grinding the pods, but i dont see it making much of a difference for short term storage. Morpine and codiene are tough chemicals and dont get dregraded too easily.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated! I've already ordered again from the same place and the same type. I just hope it's the same batch. It's nice when get more than you expect and a little goes a long way! Happy Holidays everyone!!!

Hey all, so it hasn't been that long, but I ground up the pods and put them in a glass jar. Much more convenient. So far, there does not seem to be any decrease in potency. Thanks for all who replied and gave their input. Give me convenience or give me death- Dead Kennedy's

If you grind your pods up keep them in a sealed container, in the dark, and at room temp(as long as you dont live somewhere where the temp is regularly 80). You dont need to freeze it, and shouldnt as you dont want moisture in it if youre going to be dipping in to use and then re-use later.
