Definitely one of the finest books i've ever read- just about my favourite if not for On The Road.

Anyone else enjoy the book? I think it's a shame it has to exist forever in the shadow of Apocalypse Now.

It was better than the movie, that's for sure.

That's the kind of book one gets tired of reading though after it gets pushed onto you a million times.

I liked it. Didn't love it. It was epic in its own right. I had to read it for a college English course on Global Contemporary Lit (it was the first book we read for the class). The book is neither global nor contemporary, but the prof. always said that everything starts with HOD (as far as contemporary lit goes). I couldn't get through the movie.

All in all, I enjoyed Things Fall Apart more.

I had to read for my senior year & didn't enjoy it too much, but I think if I read it on my own without being forced I would like it more...It's not too bad.
