Hi, It's great to find a forum with like minded people. I live in upstate NY and am surrounded by rednecks. You might be a redneck if you threaten to shoot my dog if it comes in your yard. Personally, I encourage intruders, especially 4 legged ones. Some of my best friends poop in my yard. All hips are welcome at my shanty. Shut up, fill it and close the door. I was just in NJ and NYC for Thanksgiving and met a few people from upstate NY.....from my understanding rednecks are just part of the territory. Though where I grew up in MD, there are/were lots of them too....I find them lots of fun to be around as I drink my Guiness instead.

 

Not really many rednecks in the true sense here in Connecticut. White trash? Certainly! Welcome to the Forums!

 

Hiya, how come people say "like minded" ?? I don't really like mine, or anybody else's for that matter.. We have lot's a red necks here in Pittsburgh, most of em are harmless, the ones that aren't we roast and eat.. Anyway, welcome to HF..

I'm in Central Square and ride a '92 polaris 500 through the drifts. My cousins were from Long Island, Oyster Bay/Glen Cove area. Do you ride and what. It's cool to hear from someone who can relate to the amount of snow and lack of sunshine in this area. :ack2:

I grew up in the Town of Oyster Bay, Hicksville to be exact. It is not on the water but still within the TOB. I ride a 97 Polaris Indy 550 Two Seater. You guys got hit pretty good last week if I recall! I still have to register mine but I have to join a club first. Right now I am riding in the outback away from the major trails where the patrols are light. I started out riding up at Old Forge but with the reg, club and Town of Web permit it gets expensive now.

Lidanny, they went CRAZY with the reggy fees for snomos, like $100.00 or something. I've just been riding mine on the acreage around my house. You're always welcome to come up here to C.Square to ride. We always have snow,it never ends! :hat:
