passed out- confused

I dont post here in the cannabis forums often, although I smoke more than I do any other drug. Yesterday I was at the store with my girlfriend, buying a sandwich. We'd just smoked a joint between us, neither of us was especially high, though. at some point, my girlfriend asked if we could go sit down outside, and I was like 'ya sure'. the doors in the store lock from the inside (theft measure) and the next thing I knew, she slammed her whole body into the door, and slumped down. At this point this guy who was shopping jumped in, and started picking her up and asking if she was ok. I realized something was wrong, and we both carried her outside after someone opened the door from outside. she was totally gone for a couple of minutes, and we were trying to get her to stay conscious and talk. After we got her some water, she came back, but didn remember shit about what happened. It really scared me, and I dont know why it happened. If anyone has any experience with something like this, I would appreciate the help.

 

oh ya.. that happens quite often. nothing to worry about, but that was probably too much weed for her.

 

That has happened to me on a few occasions, I used to get real dizzy and just fall down and pass out. Whats kind of wierd is you can feel it coming on and know you must sit down but it happens pretty quick so theres not much time. I attribute it to lack of oxygen to the brain, always happened either after smoking a cig or some weed and being in a hot or close environment, fresh air and some ice to the forhead and back of neck always seem to make me feel better if I felt it coming. I dont think its anything to really worry about, I never seemed adversely affected. One time it happened at a concert and the paramedics got ahold of me, but after checking all my vital signs they found nothing abnormal so they let me back in the show.

 

also being dehydrated. probably the main problem. dehydrated+weed+heat is also a bad combo

 

Definitely not, shes smoked since she was twelve years old, and we didnt smoke that much. Ive never seen this happen, and i dont think its 'nothing to worry about'. Ive been telling her she needs to be more healthy, but she doesnt listen. I dont want to be an asshole, but I really dont want her to get sick and die.

 

it might be something not to do with the pot exactly but will cause u to pass out.. it doesnt sound like too much weed is the problem.. but did she eat that day at all????.. did she have enough to drink?.. was she stressed when she smoked?.. how was she feeling before u smoked.. any of these or all of these could be the cause of her passing out.. honestly i wouldnt stress about it much... but do tell her to take it easy.. also eat some bananas for the potassium that really helps

 

I didnt post that many details in the initial post, because I was rushed. After she came back and had some water, I found out that she hadnt eaten all day, with the exception of a bag of potato chips. She hardly ever drinks water, too. I think it was a combination of her not eating, us fucking, then getting high, that maybe dropped her blood sugar? Im guessing, but I think it was a sign that shes unhealthy.

 

Yeah, it seems like this was caused by everything other than the weed. Although, the weed probably didn't help her.

that in ITSELF doesn't seem very healthy.

 

I know, right? I mean Im not the healthiest person, but I do make an effort to keep myself in good condition, if only because of the drugs I do. I feel like if youre gonna do drugs, you have to keep up the other aspects of your health, otherwise itll catch up to you quickly. But what do you say to someone you love when they are obviously making shitty decisions about their life?

 

i think children should be getting high off lion king or something.. thats the way it was done in my circle.
