presents

How old were you when you stopped recieving gifts from family memebers. It just started happening for me the past couple birthdays and christmases.

I shouldnt be complaining i have a roof over my head, a car to drive, an a free education. Its just rough adjusting from when i was a kid getting like $700 or more i think in presents until my dad lost hes sweet job a litle while later. All the excitement and suspense on christmas mornng. Not to mention i actually enjoyed being with my family during those past times.

Part of growing up i suppose.

My sister is an asshole and told me what I'm getting. Oh well, Christmas is gonna be sick this year.

 

I stopped recieving big gifts from family at like 16 mostly just cards now (an usually no money in them anymore ), but for some reason this yr my dad bought me a guitar and my mom an itouch woohoo....needed the itouch my razor has been thru hell an back

 

I don't want presents, but my mother still bought me some shit despite me telling her not to. I dislike christmas as a whole. Looking at what it's actually about (which I do not believe in orsupport) to the consumerist holiday it has become today, goes against what I stand for, and what psychedelics have taught me about life.

 

They still buy us presents but we aren't having much of a christmas this year.

My moms best friend got me a really cute shirt and scarf though.

 

All our family get each other presents, don't see why they wouldn't...

 

I am 20 years old and hopefully I will still get something (at least a bit of money) tomorrow morning.

My family give gifts, it is kinda expected. Which sucks somewhat because I don't like having to spend a large amount of money on gifts for everyone. Then again, that is really the only holiday tradition we have so without it christmas is just another day. I like the holidays for my friends, coming home and seeing everyone.

 

They're also about haggling the Asian guy at the shop to get cheap Christmas presents....5€ down from 20€ :reddevil:

in my case its all about watching christmas movies and finding the right temp for my vape

 

i give out my paintings in return for generous gifts from family members... it is really tipped in their favor though, because when i die an early death in the next ten or twelve years the value of said paintings will skyrocket. and by then the cheap clothes they bought will have been worn.

I stopped getting cards with money enclosed from relatives this year, and I'm 29! I think its because the last time most of them saw me I was a kid (they all live out of state).
I usually just get a bunch of clothes from my mom but this year I told her no more clothes because my girlfriend buys me too much.

I asked for computer hard drives. I want a 16mb flash, a 250 gig light and portable, and whatever else...my sister is getting me some Doug Stanhope albums (I pirate all his shit but I want to show some love) - not sure which ones though.



I didn't get anyone anything. Big reason is I am finishing school and only have a part time job and have a girlfriend (she wants me to take her shopping on the 26th and find something she likes on sale) and a weed addiction.

I know I suck.
