the bottom of the biggest most beautiful patty has the fuzzies... only the bottom couple do, i'm pretty sure it's the cobweb shit, what should be done? does that mean the WHOLE rice cake is ruined?

Get some good pics up. It could just be myc growing up the stem. If it is cobweb, you need to spray it with hydrogen peroxide NOW and increase your FAE. I would guess that its just myc climbing your stems though.

sometimes weak mycelium can be mistaken for cobweb. I get it in the bottoms of my tubs when theres too much humidity. need some pics to really tell. but yeh if you got cob then H202 that shit out cuz it spreads fast.

it's only on this one, hopefully it's mycellium
i've been being as sterile and clean as possible, i washed my walls and table, i disinfect the room (not the terrarium) everyday

i don't have my camera at the moment but this was taken from my phone just now,
    [IMG]
all of the stems kind of look fuzzy in this pic but they're not they're just fatties,
the ones that a circled are the two that are actually fuzzy, my phone isn't really made for good pictures

and no i don't know what my RH is

if it's cobweb you'd spray 3% peroxide on the cobweb and fan.

    FAE is fresh air exchange.

can't tell so much from the pic I got stoned vision on right now but I think it's just some fluffy mycelium.

and the pics from shroomery are people mostly asking 'is this mycelium or cobweb mold' and i can't find the ANSWER!

well mycelium can. it just means your RH is high. but in most cases your best at keeping it that way.

That doesn't look like cobweb to me, but its not a great pic. Cobweb will be stringy and light grey, not white like mycelium(Although sometimes its hard to tell the difference). Look up as many pictures as you can of cobweb you can be sure. It will spread fast, so you will be sure soon enough. I wouldn't take action till I was completely sure. Peroxide spray will definitely help, if it comes to that.

cobwebs grey like a rainy day cloud and healthy mycelium is cottony white like a good summer day.

It's probably not cobweb. That shit can cover your terrarium in a day. peroxide will show that bitch whos boss. small amounts of peroxide won't hurt mycelium noticeably anyway, but I would advise against spraying unless your completely sure.

oh and im in the room, my dad stole the computer earlier. :p

would it take over the whole mushroom, or would it move to others? i haven't really been checking on them throughout the last night but it seems like the stems of some of my others are getting that too

It would take over the whole chamber if it were cobweb mold, if yours is white it's probably not cob.

don't worry, mycelium or vermiculite won't hurt you. I had a friend growing shrooms and couldnt get them to pin. He got so impatient he ate all the mycelium and had an awesome trip.

but go take a peek and if that shit hasnt spread all over the place and is still white, I can assure you that its not cobweb.

They should be safe to eat. If it's white it's prolly mycelium, I think some more air flow will help.

Does it look like the mycelium that was growing in your jars or something else?
