pavlov had this dog and he proved the theory of reinforcement minus the stimulus but with the pre stimuli condition. He rang a bell prior to feeding the dog and than the dog would salivate. Well it turned out that the dog started salivating from the bell rather than the food itself.

this reminded me of calling in sick just this last Tuesday, I was so nervous cause I was on a cell that had very low reception and I could have sworn I heard the answering machine telling me to do one more thing just as I hung up, I was contemplating calling in again and leaving another message, but took a bunch of acid instead
