Jam can vegtarians eat it i found out some has gelatine in it which comes from an animal me not reading up on it i don't usually look at labels i've been eating jam not knowing i've been vegetarian for 10 months now
Gelatin is a protein produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen extracted from the bones, connective tissues, organs and some intestines of animals. It's up to you, but gelatin is not vegetarian.
i looked at my jam though and it says it doesn't have it in it my uncle said that i think he's just talking shit
Although your jam might not have gelatin...you should watch out for marshmellows if you haven't already. They do contain gelatin.
Yeah think he is lol If it contains gelatin they legally have to put it on the label so everyone can see!
Ditto. Really, most of the gelatin-containing foods are things you shouldn't eat anyway: marshmallows, candies, toaster pastries. . . I haven't really managed to give up peppermints yet. Altoids are the only non-veg product I consume. I still consider myself veg. I don't often have access to the ones I like, so it's like one box per month, but then I also wear leather so I'm a vegetarian black sheep anyway.
