New Years

New Years is coming up.
Man, do I ever hate New Years. It's just depressing. Another year, gone forever.
What do you guys like/dislike about it? Or do you just not care.

 

yeh it's such an anti climax. and i hate being stuck somewhere cos there are no cabs and unless you drive and forsake drinking you're screwed. i don't go near the city these days, too many drunk teenagers spewing everywhere, or fighting each other. when i was 18 my boyfriend got glassed with a bottle to the head from behind on nye.

these days i just stay home and get pissed.

 

I used to feel like that. You take for granted writing that number all year, and then you realize you're going to have to switch to writing another number, and it's kind of sad... Just when you get used to writing it you have to write something new.
But I don't really dwell on it anymore. That's back when I used to save all my movie tickets, too. Not anymore. Out with the old and in with the new. Sometimes it's just time. Personally, I'm ready for this year to be over. Hopefully things will be better all around... But then again, it's just a number and an old tradition. Nothing's really different at all...

 

That is true, too. I look at it like that, at times.

 

It doesn't matter... our calendar of time is just an old concept anyways.
I am excited for upcoming new years, though. This is a big one if you care because it's going into the 2nd decade of the new millennium and whatever you guys do this new years, you will look back with either regret or nostalgia. I'm Going to do mushrooms for the second time with a few friends, should be an awesome time!

New Years is in my favorite holiday. It means champagne, fireworks, kissing, and looking forward to the future. :biggrin:

2. Halloween
3. Fourth Of July

I like the 4th cause it's celebrated like New Years, fireworks and festivities and drinking and fun. It doesn't have the romance that new years has.

Halloween, is where adults go to play! :biggrin:

 

I think I have arthritis in my brain.

 

Arthritis affects 20 year olds sometimes.

 

yeah new years isn't usually all too romantic for me, this year it will be and i am excited!

and i think id like fourth of july if i did more, i usually dont do much...when i end up in minnesota it becomes one of my favorites because we are at the lake and my loaded uncle does his own badass firework show and there is always good food and good drink

ok so maybe its

1) halloween
2) new years
3) fourth of july---i plan to be at rothbury for this fourth so there is no doubt that it will be the best fourth yet
