Boater Babes.. Are there any ???

I have been wondering, how many, if any girls like the idea of living on a sailboat. Traveling around, sailing across oceans, going to foreign countries.

Any girls out there involved in such a thing?

I have to ask b/c i live on my boat with my girlfriend and am sailing it from NY to Florida. It seems that a lot of the guys who are doing the same are either married or have other guys with them.

Very few girls are involved... Anyway just trying to get a show of hands... How many girls out there are adventures enough to do this ?

 

Most women aren't real "float around rootless forever" sorts. I'd freaking love it, but I have kids and look awful in a bikini. I've known a few who like the idea and even headed out only to catch a flight home. It's just a theory I have.

 

It sounds so perfect and fun and awesome, but I wouldn't do it.

I live on a sailboat in Philadelphia-leaving for the South next year. Where are you going in Florida?

 

You might want to remind her of that.. It is kind of like camping, you don't shower often, the food isn't all that great, and there is work involved.. Most people think it's all beaches and cocktails.. But it isn't, don't get me wrong you aren't tied down to anything, but you are out in the elements most of the time. I think that is the problem most girls think it's all a vacation but it really isn't, and they want there air conditioner and couch back..

Retirement plans... F that, do it now. never hold for tomorrow what can be done today. If it is something you want to do or something you are willing to work your entire life to be able to do, why now make a life out of it.. Be happy man, the main reason why people aren't happy is b/c they are not where they want to be in life.. They think they have to work a job they hate to buy it.. And you don't have to .. Do what makes you happy and the rest will fallow.

Not saying I'm going to be floating around forever, but i would like to see a good part of the world.. This awesome world =)

Well the whole thing sounds awful to me, and I'm not even a girl.. Has your g/f ever thought about leaving you ??

Sounds amazing as a thought but not so much in practice. I love sailing but I don't think I could live in a sailboat permanently and keep my sanity while at it.. Plus my husband would absolutely hate that.

Sounds like you really scored with your girlfriend though

 

But I don't want to do it now. I'm going to make movies until I've said everything I have to say.

After that I'll sail around the Caribbean, diggin' up sunken barges and taking tourists out for pleasure cruses.

 

Hopefully i can make it to the South pacific some time soon ....

Yea Erin, my girl has wanted to leave a few times, but she is a babe and always pulls through... I do what i can to keep her happy.. I know how much it would suck not having her there.. I would probably be on here looking for another one, and i'm sure i wouldn't get as many replies.

It sounds fun... but I am definitely too much of a land girl myself, I need to be surrounding by trees and mountains at all times or I can't handle it. Also, I get hideously seasick.

 

I have a sailboat.

I was thinking of living off of it, but with kids I dont know how I could do that.

 

All I need is a pontoon boat with a diving board, beer cooler and grill.
