does anyone here pay attention to the pH effects of their food? i've always known about this but just got more interested in it lately.. wondering if anyone has some personal experience to share. i found this list which is really helpful: http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/acid_alkaline_foods_list.html any input is appreciated.
Yes I think that its quite important. In general for everybody but especially for aging people. When our blood becomes acidic, our bodies actually neutralize it with calcium from our bones, catalyzing osteoperosis. Meep! There are many factors at work obviously, but if you look at the north american diet, mostly animal products and grains and few fruits and vegetables, many of the health problems we have are most definitely amplified by acidosis.
