So i tripped acid for the first time yesturday. Best thing I've ever done. Love doesn't even begin to describe how much i enjoyed it. But, heres a weird little tidbit. I took two tabs, and I got it from my friend whos trips alot. He told me it usually hits him in like 20-40 minutes. Well 40 minutes later, im feeling nothing. Then an hour. Then 2 hours. Still nothing. So I'm pretty sure it dudded on me, and I'm all depressed, but then, I toked some weed. Weed was the key. After like 2 hits, I finally start feelind the cid. About an hour later, the sky and the road are melting together, and I'm having the time of my life. LSD is awesome. Deffinatly doing it again. But I think it's really weird that i didn't trip until I toked some bud. But whats really weird is that my other friend (not the guy i got it from) had the exact same problem (on a different occasion, i didn't trip with him). Me and him toke pretty much every day together, and we're thinking our bodies are too used to THC to feel any other drug. And my friend who I got the acid from doesn't toke too much, and it works fine with him. Anyone know what's up? Has this happened to anyone else?
Weed does appear to act as a catalyst, however it's probably just the weed making you high and more aware of the present.
yeah, 2 hours and nothing...then 2 hits of weed gets you trippin balls??? idk man, i think you just had some real low dose old cid and the weed made you realize you were "kinda" tripping. who cares, sounds like your feeling great and had a blast. HA
If that was a low dose, I can't wait to do it again But the guy i got it from said it was really good. like the best he's had in a long time. And he's one of my best friends so he's not ripping me off or anything. He even gave it to me for free. Maybe I live in a bad acid habitat.
lol i dunno there are a lot of lies about lsd potency, and they might not have come from your friend.
still this meme continues. LSD naturally can take 2-3 hours to begin working, it's not always a 20-40 minute thing for everybody all the time.
So its a personal thing for how long it takes to work. and it's just a coincidence that my friend and i both took like 2 hours and my other friend it only took 20 minutes? Thats great to know thanks!
I've had the same thing happen to me once. It was like 3 hours into it, and I was feeling it, but my head wasn't gone. I had been told it was really strong and I said to my friend, "I don't know what he was talking about. This is one of the weakest trips I've ever had." Then I had 2 cones and it was one of the most intense. And it was only 3/4s of a tab.
hey man did you hold the hits under your tongue, or did you swallow them? If you held them under your tongue, for how long? because when i hold the hits under my tongue, it takes ~an hour to start working. when i just swallow them, it can take significantly longer, up to 2 hours and even a bit more.
The more your body and mind are used to the substance the faster it will come on. The weed can boost your trip though. There have been plenty of times where I've had nothing happening but then smoke and the visauls and everything instantly turn on.
