Question about the 12 hour thing

Does the 12 hours start from when you take it, or when you start peaking? Or what?

 

well iam kind of new to acid i only tripped 11 times and it depends not all trips are going to last same amount of time but its anywhere between 12 and 15 hours i guess from the time it starts hitting you iam not sure but thats my opinion i usually take 2 or 3 blotters if i take two the effects last around 10 hours one time i took 4 blotters that day i was tripping for about 14 hours and then my eye sight was great for couple of more hours

 

12 hours is a rough average of the length of the primary effects for a standard dose for an average person.

 

I'm usually good to drive at the 14-16 hour mark starting after feeling the enitial effects. Although I rarely do, I'd usually rather wait a bit and get some rest.

 

I feel the same way, although I have driven while still pseudo-tripping, it was actually pretty easy and I didn't feel like I was beyond my limitations. That being said, it was still severly stupid

 

Right. Well I've always measured it in terms of when I took it, but it only recently occured to me that maybe it was measured from when it hits.

 

More like when it hits you will be on your 10-12hr journey of Lucy. I took 3 liquid hits with 10mg 2cp at 9 last night, it's 5:30a now and I am trying to get to sleep but still feel amazing

and personally I like driving while tripping... It is very fun.

 

yeah driving when you still have minor visuals doesn't seem like it'd be bad at all, as long as your focused

 

Twelve hours when I come down off the peak. It varies though. Sometimes the peak can last up to 5 hours.

 

this is so stupid imo,, Ive spend more than 12 hours of many a day just sitting on my ass looking at walls doing nothing..
Though Ive found my stupidity staying awake for days, and then taking LSD or eye opening psychedelic. Then Ive been like thats was a bad idea 8 hours into it.. Nothing left to do but smile smile smile..

 

The actual trip part from when it begins to ends will generally only last around 5-6 hours, past that I'd say it's just lingering effects vs tripping.

 

I don't really think that's a very good way of putting it. I see it that the first 5-6 hours are when it takes hold of you, and the latter 6-9 hours are you trying to doing everything you can to get back to that glory. It's still tripping, it's just not the peak.

 

Eh, I'd say the peak itself you'll reach about 90min, 2 hours after ingesting it, then it'll last 2-3 hours, then it's downhill from there.

last cid I got, (have) called Family Acid. 10/12 hrs theres a peak you will not believe.. Ive gone 24hrs tripping on this shit..
Its tasteless / shit that Ive had with a tang taste only lasted 5/8 hrs.. IDK..

If you count 1 hour after dosing as where it really begins even Erowid goes with a total for 6-7 hours for the main part. I mean if we're going to count minor visuals and such then yes it's much longer

 

I'd say the 12 hours contains within in it the moment you stick the blotter onto your tongue until the moment it ends. For me it's usually like, 0-1.5 hour coming up, 2-8 hours peaking, 3 hours of gradually coming down. Sometimes the experience isn't even 12 hours long depending on the strength, or at least just not noticeable.

 

If it's weak it won't last long. My last one I dropped at like 7pm and was in bed snoring by 2 am, after just a joint.

 

Damn your lucky haha. I had a 5 hour trip and I still couldn't fall asleep for like 12 hours after all the effects were lonngg gone.
