Sleep are probably my favourite band at the moment.... Although I don't think they'll ever reach my top 3.... But maybe.... I liked Electric Wizard for a bit but they got boring. Bongzilla would be good if the singing wasn't so stupid.... Do bongzilla have any intstrumental shit? I would definitely listen to them if there was no singing.
Bongripper they're instrumental most of the time. I think a couple of the songs may have vox but the vast majority don't. Their first album The Great Barrier Reefer was pretty boring IMO but I really like the second one, Hippie Killer. It manages to have crushing doom riffs and post-rockish crescendos side by side and sound natural. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv-D27nH6kE"]YouTube- Bongripper - Reefer Sutherland Live
I like all of those bands although Earth gets a bit to droney for me at times and I'm usually not big on the so called sludge vocals but Bongzilla is pretty awesome at times. Stonesphere for example
you guys cant forget about Down, the realest fuckin music aroundfthese days! truly a treat to have these guys in the world of music today
If you can stomach a bit of noise / "experimental" this band Ossein released an album called Opal Sativa. I've only listened to it once myself, but I dunno, some people are interested in sonic experimentation. It's like ritualistic psychedelic black metal noise. the bands myspace advises that you enhance your listening experience however you wish
