good place to find e-books?

hi! i've been able to find a number of interesting e-books for free online; i can never find anything i want to read at the library and i don't like buying physical books anymore (there's too much paper!).

does anyone know of a place that has a good selection of e-books that you can purchase as a .pdf? there are a lot of good reads that aren't available for free on websites like scribd. thanks!

 

If you want to invest in a rapidshare account, WarezBB is a good site. If you use bit torrent, I usually find the books I'm looking for on Demonoid.

 

I think the logical answer is the e-library.

 

thanks! hmm... i really just want pdf.'s, so i've gotten some for free from scribd.com - but they have a very limited selection.

 

Isn't Amazon the main place for e-books?

 

actually, no - i think amazon just has the 'kindle' ereader device thingy.

i bought an ebook from barnes and noble, but their desktop ereader is crap and won't work.
