Hair changing colour naturally?

Have any of you guys noticed this? I just tied most of my dreads onto the top of my head so I could look at the bottom layer of them at the back of my head, and I can see that my hair has changed from bright brown to almost black, I've never dyed my hair in my life, it's pretty crazy.

Have any of you guys noticed this?

My hair gets a lot lighter in the summer. But not as drastic as yours. And yours gets darker....I bet bill nye the science guy would know what causes this.

 

Yeah, I don't think it's due to weather, since they've seen more than one summer and winter they'd be stripey, now that'd be interesting

 

My brother has one that grows right above his forehead that he flips over on top of his head, and it is wayyy lighter than the rest of his hair. I'd assume that because those are roots to under-dreads they don't get as much sun as the bottom of the dreadlocks.

I knew a woman who was a natural blonde, and when she got pregnant, her hair started to grow in black. Weird.

 

i was blonde until i was about 8 years old and then my hair grew in brown...

but then my beard is peppered with red and blonde hair and my pubes are jet black... i'm awesome.

 

My dreads are naturally going alot blonder as they go down. Apparently Its a mix of saltwater and sunlight

 

My hair used to be quite blonde, but the last couple of years its darkened quite a bit and now it is browny

the color can change with age, or fade with sun exposure, and obviously older growth will be much lighter and more bleached out with time.

When I was a baby/little kid I had white blonde hair. By the time I was 8 or 10 it was brown, now I'm 18 and it's still brown, but a bit darker. It's also getting more curly (I mean, it's nowhere near curly, but now it's wavy, used to be perfictly strait)

The same thing happend to my dad. When he was my age he looked just like me, a little white boy with strait shouhlder length brown hair, and now he could pass as mexican (because of where we live) and has a hell of a black (greying, but jet black) jew-fro going, with very curly hair. Hopefully mine makes this transformation like his did in the near future, if age is any que, in the next 5 years or so I should start having kinkier hair.
