is it possible for tribes to take you in as part of their community? could i find a tribe out in the jungle and have them take me under their wing and teach me their ways? or is it frowned upon?

im glad someone wants me to shrink heads, i have had strong ambitions for a long time! but really, is it frowned upon? that really stinks.
Take initiative. Go to the amazon, and show them your hatred for western culture, and what it has done to them, and your love for the forest. Tell them that if you could control who your parents where, you would chose any one of them. I'm sure you'll find a tribe. It depends on how much effort you are willing to put in to proving you can withstand the jungle and not be a liability to them.
I really do feel like I could I persuade them just by my view on how labor is looked upon on western culture, and how much I don't like the government, or really care about materialistic items that much. I know I would have alot to learn, yet the reward after being accepted and knowing you can survive is greater than anything I can learn in college or at a dead end job.
If there even are still very primitive tribes out there, they stayed that way by pushing the rest of the world away. I dont think you can find one that will accept you, unless they found you half dead in a riverbank only to nurse you back to health.
Then again if they’re really that primitive, they just might see you as sustenance and roast you over an open fire pit as their main course Hotwater
that's probably what would happen anyway, but the ONLY chance of being accepted is if the former happened.
WEll who do you exactly what to learn from? Native american tribes? Or shamanic peoples of Peru, or what? you werent very descriptive. And a lot of tribes wont take you in, bc you are not born of their blood(native american). I have a few friends go to the amazon, and be taught a thing or two by nice natives. But to actually become someones student, might be harder to find.
more the shaman of peru, but even native american tribes of south america would be cool as well. i just want to see what a truly simple, only sustainable life really is, and be in harmony with one's surroundings.
start your own tribe...its better that way...you start off as the King and can keep all the women for yourself
