lemme sing you a song first... Im a tell you a story about an gulf war vet, went to doctors to get his arm fixed, then one day he was forced to drink some goo, so the pictures the machine took would turn out real good.... If youve ever had to take this shit. WTF is it?... sometimes contrast is injected, and other times you drink it.. I was looking around and noticed all these streak marked on the MRI machine, looks like someone shoot their load all over the fucking thing.. Asked the technician what that discoloration/bleached (blue to white)on the bottom there and why this one plastic thning was broken.. Dude say "thats contrast, its all sticky , it stains if you get it on the plastic".,.. "OK dude wtf, if it stains plastic =how then do you put it a human beings???? humm? " he say "its ok just goes through you and you just pee it out and will not hurt you" .. Then I said "if it dont hurt you, then why not use piss to clean it off the machine, it aught to come right off then/:coffee:.." Ok... whos had some contrast?
i drank some when my appendix burst, i dunno that was a year ago and I havnt had any negative effects from it. just helps the doctors help you out i would say
injected, taste like metal in your mouth.. you can also feel heat in the nut sac.. THIS IS NOT COOL, NOT COOL !!
btw ,, I really didnt need this damn mri shit.. there is nuffin wrong with my arm now. But in order to keep getting the OC's, had to put myself through it for science..
i have, they thought i had stress fractures in my hip (turns out to be a tendon thing thats short in my thigh, it rubs across my hip bone and feels like a fracture) the navy gave me the pill form. ive also had it for thyroid scanning (probably different forms of medium)
I think its calcium and phosphates n one other thing my mom just told me shes a nurse but I forgot the last thing she said it was. its ussually used to take better pictures of your organs
My mom had to drink that shit a couple times.. said it was the nastiest thing ever. It takes people awhile to get it down, I guess.. I hope I don't have to drink that shit when I get my gall bladder looked at tomorrow.
its barium... and it emits radiation that can be picked up on a MRI... kinda makes your GI tract glow on the image. its mildly radioactive and i dont recommend making a habit of ingesting the stuff.
the other thing is , you must wait an hour or two before the contrast goes through your body for it to be effective.
