Just wanted to give a little update on how everyone is doing. I know I don't post very often, I usually hit this place up for a few days, then won't get back for a month, but there are a few on here I kinda know and would call friends. Not meaning that I am not friendly with those I don't know so well. Anyhow..... My newest addition Akina, who I have nicknamed giggly wiggly, is almost three months old now. She had colic fairly bad over the last few months, but due to an extreme change in mamas diet, it has been clearing up a lot. Every time she hears my voice or sees me, she is nothing but smiles and giggles. She is a little ticklish on her tummy, which is how she got her nickname. My first daughter Axi, who we all call Baby (it's been her nickname since two days after she ws born, given by Skye), unfortunately has middle child syndrome. She is kinda whiny and desperately seeks her older brothers attention. I spend as much time as I can with her, not neglecting the other two by any means, but she wants to play with Skye. They do play together a lot, but you know how it is when your 2. Other than that, she is very loving and snuggly. She's my nature girl. I have a really hard time keeping her out of mud and dirt. She likes the way it feels on her hands and feet. She also really likes to practice kung fu with me. Which makes me very happy. My son, Skye is 4 now. His vocabulary blows me away. He has to where glasses now, which he doesn't like, but he understands that they help him to see. He really is one of the brightest crayons in the box, and whenever he gets around another group of kids, even if they are a Little older, he usually becomes the leader and they all want to play with him. A natural born leader. He knows how to use the computer better than I do, can count fairly proficiently in English and can count to ten in Japanese and Chinese and to 5 in Spanish (I don't know how to speak Spanish at all, so my lessons are kind of limited in this category). He likes to play X-box. He always plays the Lego star wars, and is really pretty good at it. We have an agreement that if he wants to be allowed to play on the computer or x-box, that he has to exercise and practice kung fu with me and Axi. He likes to make up fairly detailed stories of the top of his head, and enjoys making people laugh with his stories and songs. My wifes change in eating habits has led to good weight loss. Due to some barter and trade on my part, I got my whole family free lifetime memberships at my kung fu school/gym. So between the diet and exercise, she is getting back into shape, and starting to feel a lot better, both physically and emotionally. She still gets stressed about being a stay at home mom with three kids, and wants to go back to work. However, neither of us are willing to send our kids to daycare, and I have a better earning potential that she does. I am kicking butt in school with straight A's. Every opportunity I have, I have my nose buried in a book and I study my ass off. After doing my midterm research report, I am even more motivated for my career goals. I have always enjoyed learning, and being able to apply it to other areas of my life and potentially make a career out of being able to help people is quite a trip. There are a few hardships going on right now, but I know that everything happens for a reason, and I am using the problems to my advantage. You know what they say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". Having my own business is nice, though I am barely making enough to pay for school and survive. The lack of work does give me more study and family time. Degrees in the medical field are not easy, and I know that it will get harder, but I know that it will make our lives easier, and hopefully I can break the family tradition of having to work hard physical labor for little profit. When ever I start to get discouraged, I look at my children and think of the future I want to be able to provide for them. Well, talk to everyone later.
