You guys seriously think there are no dangers in taking acid?

acid unplugs your brain, when it' over you still have every cord but maybe they were put back together in a diffrent order. I don't think of that as bad thing.

There is not one study that proves LSD causes any sort of brain damage, the "danger" is more of a mental one. Some people don't deal with trips as well.

 

Acid is in fact one of the physically safest drugs you can take. As for mentally, well that's on a person to person basis. Some people can't handle it, to put it simply, their brain isn't up for it. Everything else is fear mongering, like shrooms vs acid. There is almost no difference between the drugs, in fact most people would probably agree shrooms are more both mentally and physically debilitating. But fucking hippies spread the asinine "oh shrooms are natural man, acid is man made, shit fucks with you" If you think that going into a trip obviously your views on acid are going to skewed when on it.

Yep, and on that subject, Lysergic Acid amides are found naturally in the brains chemistry unlike Psyllocybin. So while street LSD may be processed from a natural compound containing Lysergic Acid by the hand of Man so is virtually everything else we consume. I'd personally be more concerned over artificial flavoring, sweeteners and preservatives than I would a well made batch of LSD-25. Heck the Air alone in most major cities probably does more long term harm to a persons well being.

Well no, but I was confusing receptors with the chemicals. My bad, been over a decade since I did my researching of the compound and sometimes details get a bit fuzzy. I do try to double check when I'm not really feeling certain in most cases, this one just missed me completely.

Yeah thats obvious isn't it? Wouldn't it be cool if there was another planet just as far away from the sun as earth, and all the people who wanted to start over with pure water and pure air could go there and everyone that arrived at the planet would be searched for any nasty chems/pollutants. That would be like heaven. It would be all peaceful too not all crowded.

 

There are a lot of people that are perfectly fine with taking shrooms, but are dead afraid to do acid. They are almost the same thing! Acid is longer shrooms with clearer visuals, and a slightly different mind alteration.

Sure you might go crazy, but more oftenly your gonna go sane! Your gonna realize that you've been crazy this whole time and you will have finnaly emerged from your delusions.

LSD has always felt perfectly safe to me, more so then most other drugs. There is no reason to be afraid, like FDR said, "the only thing to fear is fear itself." The fear causes the craziness, throw your fear out, purge yourself of fear, look fear in the face and say I am the master, not you!

LSD will sometimes make you go crazy in a good way, it is natural because the whole mind will shift, you will think in a completely new way, and you will become mad. I had gone mad for awhile, but I stayed optimistic and pushed through it. After the energy had settled down, after I began to even out again, I was a new man, transformed, a new light had taken away the darkness.

So it is not something to be afraid, it is something to be embraced!

It totally rearranged my perception on life, shockingly....Like i wasnt expecting such a spiritual, mind altering drug when i took the real stuff...I was expecting just patterns like i had the few other times...That night changed my life forever....Dangers i wouldnt know?Because i had it when i was already thinking i was a God with a divine plan and that i was getting signs from some higher power, including numbers, signs on stores, messages on the side of busses and other billboard signs along with other plane crazy shit that had me thinking i was the next eric clapton...I was really mentally sick when i had it and that stuff just made things alot darker....I dont know if it was called obbsessive compulsive disorder or just being plane crazy/nuts/psychopathic/out there....It was euphoric as hell though. Lol

If its actual LSD and not something else, there are other chemicals out there being sold as LSD that do have longer term effects and can really screw u up for a while. Actual true and pure LSD is not dangerous IMO, you really gotta get to the higher dosages to truely feel out of control, but you are also more likely to get hurt or do something stupid while on LSD more than any other drug, so maybe the chemical in itself is not harmful but you can become harmful to yourself.

However, that being said, i have had some 1-2 dose trips where i was completley mind fucked and my body felt like shit and poisoned for about 5 days afterwards, most likely it was an LSD like substance but not real. I had perma-trails for about a year, not that they were anything bad that interfered with my daily life, but still. And even with good LSD, you still can have a bad trip, you truely need to be prepared for it, and not be in a shitty environment or around shitty people. I remember tripping at a party that had some truely sociopathic people hanging out there, it was just a bad vibe and led to a shitty trip.

There are a lot of B.S. stories out there but remember there are some of them that are true, you don't want to wind up on the bad end of someones shoddy lab work.

I don't belive that LSD in itself is dangerous to most people, the problem is, how do you know what you are getting truely is LSD? And even LSD can bring some underlying psycological disorders to the surface.

Thats why i would say at the very least to be cautious, your fathers is wise in telling you so. Shrooms are safe in so the fact that you know what you are getting, its made by nature and not in a lab somewhere. Personally, i would never take LSD again, but thats a personal choice, Shrooms i definitely would again.

 

I am sort of with audiovisions on that point, not being able to put faith in the street market for nuttin' these day's.

This is why I usually suggest investigating an LSD analog (LSA) as that much like mushrooms is totally natural and not processed by unknown hands (Aside from soaking certain seeds in Everclear or vodka that is.)

The only major difference I'd found with LSA is that the trip comes in waves, it's not a constant 12 hour ride as some blotter can be which for a first-timers experience might be ideal as they'll have the benefit of having the experience for an hour or so then a half to reflect on it.

I'd guesstimate a large part of the first timers who "have issues" are having them due to the fact it can seem as if the experience may last indefinitely as Time can become a rather flexible thing on the Hoffman Juice.

hitman- lsd is a psycedelic. everyone has a different mind and reacts differently to it.

 

you make some good points, but the shrooms most of us get are not grown in nature. they're grown in a dealer's closet or basement. and someone could always pick the wrong shrooms too. all of the above is pretty uncommon i think.

i still think most acid is either real acid or fake - blank paper. ocassionally someone sells a dox, etc, but there are ways to check for that too.

i think acid can mess with your head and your gut a little bit, but used in moderation is pretty great.

Drugs ARE bad for you.
But in my opinion what i've gained from it has easily outweighed the portion of my health i've sacrificed.
