Two bands that I think you people will like.

The first goes by the name of Hawkwind. They are a space rock band; their early stuff is really good. Anything before 77 is great imo. The next band is called Comus. They have only put out two albums(both from the 70's). I have not heard the 2nd album from them but have been told that it is no where near the first one. The best way to explain their sound is this(this is my opinion). They sound like a folk band who has read a lot of roman folk lore and have eaten way to much acid. But the music is beautiful. I have never heard anything like them. And if any one knows where i can download the 2nd album from Comus please let me know. Thanks

never heard of them.. and probably not gonna check'em out.. because 90% of the time when someone is like "ooo.. you should check such and such you'll like them"... they are completely wrong

i've heard of hawkwind. did they do the original of intersteller overdrive or did they steal it from floyd? either way it's not as good. any other good hawkwind songs, list some songs and i'll prob check em out

 

I've heard both of them and they're good. got into comus for a little while, not so much hawkwind but the one time i heard them i remember liking it.

 

i have one hawkwind album, and i like the song "images" a lot. other than that, i don't listen to them very often and i have never heard of comus.

You either like Hawkwind or you dont, but Comus is on a whole different level. I can understand not liking Hawkwind, its not for everyone, but I think everyone should take a listen to Comus. Its just such a beautiful band. I have a hard time describing them, but imagine a darker version of King Crimson with Led Zeppelin like lyrics(mostly along the lines of No Quarter). They are definitely worth a listen.
