Pretty tricky this, but what are your ten favourite films of the decade just past? Here's my attempt, there's some great ones I had to leave out

    No Country for Old Men
    Amelie
    Garden State
    Dead Man's Shoes
    Lost in Translation
    28 Days Later
    Kill Bill Part 1
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
    Donnie Darko
    Team America: World Police

That's a good list there. The Lord of the Rings films would have to be in there for me, as would The Dark Knight and the new Star Trek film. Revenge of the Sith was also a return to form for the Star Wars films, even though the acting, with the exception of Ian McDiarmid, was pretty dire....

Team America world police? I tried watching that but couldn't get through the first five minutes.

Should I go back and try to finish it?

I liked it at the time first time through, but I'm not a big fan, but I don't really like South Park now, I guess if you like SP your more likely to dig Team America.

Oh I love it and can watch it again and again. I love Parker and Stone's mastery of language and cinematic form, and the intelligence of the humour underlying this film. There's an incredibly incisive satirical mind at work behind the apparently childish humour. Very easy to just see it as a stupid comedy but that would be to overlook so much. Oh and much, much more highly crafted than most episodes of South Park, though "South Park: The Movie" matches it for wit and satirical brilliance and was one of the best films of the 90s. Quite apart from one of the best films of the last decade I'd say this is easily one of the best films ever made...

I understand it's point but I still find the way it's executed a bit too much for me to watch over and over. South Park episodes I find a bit hit and miss now, I usually watch half and then move on during the advert break.

alls I've done is confront other peoples favourites without listing any of my own, but I can't think 10 years back >.< I can't remember films I watched last year =/

    In no order and just films I liked from the 00s as no doubt in 10 mins I'll remember others;
    Gladiator
    Sunshine
    Pirates of the Caribbean 1
Lord of the Rings, the two towers
    Avatar
    Paranormal Activities
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
    Crank
    Blues Brothers 2000
    Star Trek Nemesis

All the movies I like seem to cluster around mid to late 80s-late 90s, lets see what the 10s have to offer to rival Jurrassic Park and Back to the Future
