Just don't fucking do it, UNLESS you do know what you're doing. If you have someone helping, sure, DO IT but be sanitary. I just got done doing my own piercing on my left ear, 16g with IV needle (or whatever lol), I was sanitary and everything but wow, I was off just a little BIT, didn't get it QUITE where I wanted it. oh well though I suppose. That's my second piercing that I've done AT HOME, the first one was done by a buddy (turned out good.) I wasn't quite ready to shove it through full force, so I half assed the piercing and took me a few to get it in. anyways, it looks cool, whatever right? lol +1 3 on left ear, 1 on right ear. meh, I like it. Haha, I would never. Worst I have done is push a earring through a half closed gap. Hurt, but wasn't so bad. Some girl I knew a few years back asked me to pierce her lip in a park. Someone else did in the end, I opted out as she had a piece of wire and a bottle of vodka. The Vodka was only for drinking purposes might I add! Some dude literally got this dirty wire they found, in a field, and stabbed in through her lip. The weirdest thing, she had no infections or problems with it afterwards. Lucky git. Well, stupid and lucky git.
It's just not really that expensive to get piercings done professionally. If you want something, you should be willing to pay enough to get it done right.
i got my ears pierced (i've streached to 4g) professionally and had never had any issues. i did pierce a couple of my buddies' ears, but it was very sanitary. new needle soaked in rubbing alcohol, carrot as a push point (no apples). other than my first try they've turned out really well.
eh, sort of true but I do feel more pleased about the piercing knowing it was done myself :] 25$ for one piercing isn't TO expensive, expecially since I make moneyyy, but still; bleh.
LOLOL. The shops around here that charge $25 for piercings are total fucking hacks. The place I go to [the only APP certified piercers in Northern Ohio charge $40 for most piercings with basic jewelry.
hmm, the one real deal shop around here is 'Lure.' They're hella professional but I find it dumb to pay so much for a piercing. fucking retarded in my opinion, but that's just MY opinion.
Haha two years ago I pierced my own belly button and my friend's with a yarn darner. (As you would imagine, shoving a yarn darner through your skin hurts WAY more than a piercing needle. But were were like 14 (her) and 15 (me) and pretty stupid, so whatever.) I didn't keep mine because it was crooked (I was hurrying and doing it myself) and I had never really wanted it in the first place, just the experience of piercing myself, but she kept hers for a while--hers turned out pretty good. But eventually it rejected. As is to be expected when you use a fucking yarn darner. We used ice packs to numb our stomachs and soaked the needles in Tylenol bottles full of rubbing alcohol. I have nothing against DIY piercings but if you're gonna do it, for hte love of God, do it well. Haha.
i dont think i could ever pierce myself again. freshman year of highschool i let my friend do it, his brother did it professionally and a local shop, he was out of town but had all his shit at the house. so at least it was done with a properly sterilised piercing needle.. but i got home, it fell out, closed up, and i re-pierced my eaar 5 times that afternoon just trying to get it strait. that was my only experience with diy piercings
