SO I used to be a hardcore sugar addict when i was little, and when i ate candy I wouldn't fuck around, I would eat all I could handle. Ever since i turned 17, i had subconciously thought that wow I am getting tired of sugar and it's not helping my body. So I haven't been into it last couple years, completely changing my sugar intake by hardly ever eating candy. It does make you feel better, I'm not gonna lie. But I heard somewhere that sugar highers your adrenaline levels, this is one of the reasons I still love sugar alot, because I am obsessed with adrenaline and it gives me a better dose of it. The point of this thread though, is that I haven't eaten alot of sugar at once in a good amount of time (like alot of candy), so last night I wanted to prove to myself I still could, so I ate a whole pack of now and laters (best candy) Unfortunately, in about an hour, my stomach started having the worst cramps ever, just felt pure pain throughout my stomach where the candy was. So wtf? do I not have as high of a sugar tolerance as I used to, therefore it effects me more? Am i just getting older so it is getting worse for me? I thought I could handle that whole pack, I do like eating loads of candy on occasion, do i need to be working my way up to it or what?
Sugar- in the forms and quantities it exists in the manufactured food supply is a dietary poison. I'd suggest limiting sweets to occasional homemade treats where you know what's actually in them.
You should go for things that have "evaporated cane juice" I have tried some rice ice cream substitutes with evaporated cane juice and they are great. I actually don't know the name of the brand I buy..it is like Rice Divine or something, chocolate chip flavored. I can eat a pint in 10 minutes and have no bad side affects (other than I just spent $5 for the pint). There are some decent vegan cookies out there with evaporated cane juice, and the Mi-Del cookies from Sweden have evaporated cane juice. There are lots of tasty treats you can find in the healthy/natural/organic section Virgil's root beer and cream soda has evaporated cane juice and it is really good. the carbonation is still bad for your teeth but every once in awhile is good I am wary of "organic sugar" I would stick to evaporated cane juice
Thanks mabey i'll look into it, but the point is things like Now and later are so amazingly good nothing can compare to them.
