I just started backcombing today... and I just want to say...... FUCK! It hurt like hell! I usually have a very high threshold when it comes to pain but for the love of god this was like the most painful thing I've ever experienced.. Perhaps I just have a really sensitive head or something... Did anyone else think it hurt like hell or am I just being a wuss lol
only time i thought (or anybody i have backcombed thought) it hurt was when the comb slipped. go slower
Hurt pretty bad for me... But the people I had do it the first time I backcombed were backcombing waaay too hard, trying to get the 'dreads' rock hard.
It was the worst pain ever. But I went to a hairdressers and I'm too polite to tell them to stop hurting me. "It'll be over soon it'll be over" however if my husband backcombed for me I'd like "OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! WTF U HURTEN ME GO SLOWER YOU TWAT GFH HTRDH FHGT "
it hurt when the comb slipped. but, all that pain you went through was for naught. they're gonna be loose in a few days.
Yeah lol quite high.. Even muh doctor has told me I have an abnormally high pain threshold.. This backcombing had me squirming tho.. I was writhing in pain one might say.
Ye I was told the same by the doctor aswell when I had a serious break in my arm (Doc said most people would have blacked out from the pain). Still didn't hurt me one bit though xD I guess I was mightily stoned though xD Best advice: go buy some nice skunk and you should be stoned enough to not care
If you're a guy it could be because you're not used to people pulling on your hair, most guys keep their hair short or just never really mess with it. Where as girls are raised with their hair being pulled up and messed with all the time. I think that might have affected it. AKA Girls' scalps have gone numb due to all of our hairstyles over time
I had my hair backcombed and as it has been said... it only hurt when the comb slipped and hit me in the head. All of the backcombing felt like heaven. I would do it over again in an instant. 8 hours of head fondling... ah....
Highly likely.. My hair has been long for a while but to be honest... I didn't really brush it.. It didn't need it very bad and I've literally worn a doo rag for 3 years day and night.. So Yeah my scalp was probably not used to being assaulted. And to whoever said it was like hours of head fondling, curse you!
I blame this completely. Haha, us girls have pretty much killed the nerves in our scalps. Seriously, anytime you pull on a guys' hair they instantly scream (and sometimes it's even high pitched ) and do it to a girl and they just assume they're getting their hair done lol.
