i like it a lot, if there is a dnb party somewhere in the area i'll go. no personal preferences though. to me its really good dance music, but i'm not so much into it that i really have idols or anything like that
I'm a musician(from Illinois). I play guitars and Bass(blues, funk, acoustic).I didn't pay much attention to electronic music until I found some very talented artisits on MySpace. I ended up collaboration with one of my favorite finds via email from England. He really adds a lot to my music(ambient sounds, rain, whispers, wind) plus he is a great drummer and sends me drum tracks(actual drums, not beats) so yeah I appreciate a good sampler and mixer.
Pendulum was good, they flipped around everything and now they just don't sound the same. Also, if you guys haven't heard any black sun empire, you should go listen to some, I use bse a lot in my mixes. :hat:
Pendulum aren't drum n' bass. Some good D&B artists... High Contrast, London Elektricity, Noisia, Drumsound n' Bassline Smith, Calyx, Chase n' Status, Future Prophecies, Concord Dawn, Dillinja, Lynx.
Squarepusher just to name drop the most talented mofo on the planet. Telefon Tel Aviv, The Flashbulb and Omcreator are all amazing as well.
like it loud? aaron spectre, drumcorpse venetian snares bong ra, xanopticon technical itch, the panacea, shy fx hahaha just after posting i saw i already made a post overhere, by now i obviously do have my preferences btw somatic responses is pretty sick too
The ones mentioned above and dont forget shy fx, high contrast, ed solo, logistics, d-kay, lemon D and others edit, oops now i see you allready mentioned some of these
Joy for the drums and the basses! some of my favorites are Diesel Boy, Sub Focus, Andy C, Roni Size, Twisted Individual, and Distorted Minds. I love the really really hard/grimy stuff.
Drum'n'bass is one of my favorites since my teenage. I love artists such as Goldie, Sub Focus, Pendulum, Photek, Noisia, High Contrast, London Elektricity, Chase&Status, Andy C and Alix Perez.
KJ Sawka. Live drum and bass...absolutely phenomenal. Concord Dawn, Chase and Status, Ben Sage, DirtyPhonics, Logistics...
Love d&b. Listen to noisia, spor, chase & status, telemetrik, phase, benny page, logistics, commix, high contrast, corrupt souls, sub focus, aphrodite, oh man I can keep going and going!!
cyantific has some awesome tunes and so does DJ acucrack. a lot of great artists have been mentioned here..black sun empire is cool to.
Alot of the good ones have already been mentioned but 2 that really stand out to me that are missing: Dieselboy and Technical Itch.
DnB and jungle is pretty much where my musical ear revolves around. Building a system for it now with my dad got a lot of vinyl but thats more my dad and friends side of the business, just like collecting old school tracks. Mostly what people have said here has it covered, although Visionary, Benny Page, old Hype, old Shy FX, Taxman, Source Direct, Sizzla, DJ Amadeus pulled off some wicked live sets, Aztek too. Theory, Ray Keith of course! DJ Panic, badman Kenny Ken, Alix Perez, fuck man I could fill a full thread with names and Im definitely missing some greats.
