who could give more info about a mathematician?

    it's said a mathematician who built a theory against his director before his graduation, decided to be a rural teacher, and after dozens of year he rebuilt a new theory against his former one.

    i think it's rare and cool, while i could remember his name for i only hear once of his miracle.

    anybody could help?
