i can never forgive you brits for sending us the spice girls! alright, turn about is fair play; i'm sure you brits, can never forgive us yanks for, sending you the backstreet boys! i have a friend i made online, from the u.k. visiting with me right now, his name is jamie, and he is from newcastle upon tyne. i have traveled to the u.k. several times and, over all, you brits are ok by me! i have had a few run ins with brits that are assholes (or, as you all say 'arseholes') but, you find assholism in every nation. we have our share of yankee assholes over here too. i like you brits as a whole however, i don't like assholes no matter what their nationality may be!
Love the accent, and the culture. I'm no expert obviously but it seems like there is less variation in accents from one part of England to another, so I love how everyone sounds the same. Plus i envy the racial diversity of the Brits.
I love most the brits & uk'ers I social with... especially love the differences in word meanings lol...
I know there are, broadly speaking, two types of soccer fan: the Hornbys and the sod-that-for-a-lark floating punters. The overwhelming majority of soccer fans in Britain are armchair fans, in the sense that they hardly ever go to games.
I have liked every Brit I have talked to. I find it interesting this country was born from war with Brits over our freedom now we are best of friends. Isn't it a wonderful world.
Uhh, maybe so because we don't play soccer in the UK.. We play football! I appreciate the kind words about the British, although may I add that not one part of the UK is the same as the other. Just read something about accents being the same, but the UK is not just England, there's Scotland, Ireland and Wales too. I am Welsh and have a strong Cardiffian/valley's accent!
they seem to share the same views, opinions and ethics as Canadians but they (Brits) talk funny and use weird words:coffee:
The Brits that I have met seem to be pretty good people,of course there is always one bad egg in every batch
I love the accent and the rich, long history. I like how you leave the "u" in words like "favour." Love the quirky comedies, "Are you being served?" and "Fawlty Towers." Absolutely adored the late Princess of Wales. Y'all are cool. Ha ha.
