does the typical cake yield? my friends growin a cake of penis envy and a cake of b+, he thinks hell only get about an eighth a cake but im pretty sure hes wrong? i really dont know though ive never grown before

it really really really depends. dont hope for more than an eighth if its a 1/2 pint especially for your first time. you could get beginners luck and get like a half o with all the dunk method

lol straight to the point 36, but i'd say an eighth a cake from 1/2 pints on your first grow would be the most you gonna get out the first flush. unless you do everything to the T then you might get more but don't expect it.
agree, 1/8 is a legit guess for a first flush per cake, you could get up to 4 flushes totally 10 grams or so...it really is hard to say. I can say for sure though that this hobby definitely rewards persistence, time import, and attention to detail...as well as straying from the tried and true and doing plenty of experimenting (in a sanitary manner of course!)....we're talking about oyster mushrooms right...?
