I honestly DO think its going to happen.... alot of you think its a way of church to make money but theirs churches that have done a better job in doing that...(RCC). I think its going to happen because technology is going to be so insane, they have chips that will be able to be plugged to your brains able to sent electric currents to your brain to think a certain way.... and they been talking about how even at birth they will install these chips.... I do not buy the idea of Christ's "third coming", because it is un-Scriptural, and so I find the idea of a pre-tribulation Rapture where Christ will return, leave for everyone to suffer, and them come again for the millennial kingdom.
I remember the point you made and their isn't a "third" return..... just because they meet in the sky doesnt mean its the "second" coming...
No problem, it was late here too. I will post a picture to explain what I mean by three comings... Christ comes once without the Church, and once with the church a final time. This is three times Christ entered into our world from Heaven. Postmillennialism holds that there will be a literal (sometimes not, and that is closer to amillennialism) 1000 year Golden era in which good is in triumph over evil. After that the second coming, resurrection of the dead and last judgment will occur. Amillennialists hold that "1000 years" in Rev 20 means "a long time" and is a symbolic reference to the place of the Church on earth. Remember: Christ is currently reigning in heaven, at the right hand of god; Jesus is "present" in that he promised he will remain with the church; christ also said that the kindom of god in in our midst even 2000 years ago! hope that helps
The Bible clearly states that the Second Coming will be a public event that will be witnessed by the entire population of the Earth. Matter of fact it says Every eye will see him. The Rapture has little if any Biblical basis.
