    Hulllo,

Is it easier to dread straight hair or curly hairr?
I'm curious because my hair is ridiculously straight.
I would personally think curly hair.

    thankyaaaa.

Unfortunately for you, curly hair tends to dread easier. Curly hair is a bit like wool, it tends to cling together pretty easily. That doesn't mean you can't dread straight hair, but the process might be a bit longer.

Well you never know it all depends on your hair. You could knot up just as fast and anyone else. My hair is soooo straight and its knotted up pretty good these past 6 months.

Well either way, there's ALMOST no one with hair that just won't tangle.

i stumbled upon this dready gem about 2 months ago.

his hair is pretty damn straight and his dreads, in my opinion, are some of the best neglect style dreadlocks ive seen.

this is his 1 month of progress

and this is his 2 year dread anniversary.

I think that having straight or curly hair just affects the shape of the dreads that form.

For instance, I have super curly hair, and my dreads have lots of funny loops and bumps in them.

Where as the guy in the above video has pretty straight non-loopy dreads.

other than that I don't think it really affects much in the dreading process...
