I have had to wear a bandage with a "boot" for the past week, and will have to for the next 3-4 weeks. My foot became so swollen one day that one of the incisions broke.:cuss: The worst part of this is that I had to sleep with the boot on for the first few nights according to the post surgery instructions. Even anti-BFers won't go that far. Anyone ever had to do that?

Never, EVER have foot surgery if you can help it...

    Never again (I hope)...

    Take care.

Surgery of any kind sucks. Hopes for a speedy recovery.

I had surgery on each of my feet about five years ago. The podiatrist straightened a painful crook in by big toes. If you're squeamish you don't want details. Anyhow, I had to wear an orthopedic boot for six weeks afterward. After they did one foot they did the other, so I was out of action for ~13 weeks altogether (I had a 1 week break between my first and second surgeries). It sorta sucked, but my feet feel MUCH better, and with the surgery I'm no longer self-conscious about the appearance of my feet.:)
