I have had to wear a bandage with a "boot" for the past week, and will have to for the next 3-4 weeks. My foot became so swollen one day that one of the incisions broke.:cuss: The worst part of this is that I had to sleep with the boot on for the first few nights according to the post surgery instructions. Even anti-BFers won't go that far. Anyone ever had to do that? Never, EVER have foot surgery if you can help it... Never again (I hope)... Take care.
I had surgery on each of my feet about five years ago. The podiatrist straightened a painful crook in by big toes. If you're squeamish you don't want details. Anyhow, I had to wear an orthopedic boot for six weeks afterward. After they did one foot they did the other, so I was out of action for ~13 weeks altogether (I had a 1 week break between my first and second surgeries). It sorta sucked, but my feet feel MUCH better, and with the surgery I'm no longer self-conscious about the appearance of my feet.
