Hey I just got some shrooms and I was wondering if you guys know what strain they are. No one around my area ever knows what kind they are so hopefully you guys know the name. and if you absolutely need a spore print to know what kind they are, just give me your best guess

Oh sweet thanks. I talked to a guy about a month back whose tripped tons of times and he said the best shrooms were golden teachers and when he ate an eighth it was like an acid trip, would any of you guys agree with that?

GTs suck IME. And Ive grown a lot of mushrooms. Theres no way to tell what strain they are, especially from a pic of dried mushrooms.

No, you guys are just straight-up wrong. GT is one of the strains that cant be IDed while theyre growing/fresh, much less when dried.

Probably the only strains that MIGHT be able to be IDed when dry are PE (although you wouldnt be able to tell it from PEU) and KS/KSSS.

GTs suck. People just think they are sweet because they are gold.

Very unlikely that somebody could identify it accurately by a picture alone.

Alright thanks for the info guys. What do you think a good dose would be if I plan on eating them at 3:00 and need to be sober enough to drive at around 10:30 and also plan on smoking dmt during the peak? Will i be alright by then regardless of the dose?

It doesn't matter what "strain" they are anyways.

Even if they were "Golden Teachers" (which they may or may not be theres no way to tell from a simple pic of them dried) that doesn't neccesarily mean they will be potent.

GTs are one of the most widely distributed so-called "strains" so potency varies A LOT. As does its appearance and characteristics.

but strains are just a marketing gimmick if you ask me. Penis Envy being an exception.

Not true in the least. There are definitely some characteristics common to each strain. For example, KS grows really fat & thick, and the caps dont open the same as normal Cubes. Hillbilly has a tendency to start producing clusters from mushrooms growing by themselves. The PE variations are uber-potent for a Cube. Wikidzons get fucking HUGE and drop really, really dark prints. Delta Blues-D is extremely rhizomorphic, even from MS. Puerto Rican is prone to overlay. I could go on & on.

That is not so much a "strain" difference as it is a regional difference. Most cubes in the Asian region are fat and short. Many in South America don't open their caps. Australian tend to be wavy. This is obvious.

But any batch of cubes picked in the wild could be a different strain if you wanted it to be. It's not like pot.

The differences in effect are subtle if any at all. Asian cubes tend to hit faster but not last as long.

I wanna see your source on this one. Cause I know all the strains fairly well, and the only short, stumpy Asian strain I know of is KS and KSSS.

The South American strain is known for growing HUGE and leaving dark prints...

None of the Aussies Ive ever seen have been wavy. Where the hell are you getting your information?

    wow what a pissing contest.

you know appearance, potency and other factors can be environmental as well right?

some thai can be short and fat, just like some PRs can. i sure some aussies are wavy capped when left to mature ect ect.

Right, but there are certain characteristics that stay no matter what or how its grown, as long as the strain is kept pure. The commercial strains hve been worked to keep certain characteristics.
