I have a question I haven't noticed here. There have been threads about toe rings and tats. But I haven't seen any on anklets. Are they ok or not? And more important are there any suggestions where to go shop?

I've made up anklets out of leather shoelaces from deck shoes! I usually wear one on each foot. Only down side is that they, like any other anklet, leave tan lines.

Are they OK? Of course! You do what you feel like, what suits you, if you like the way it looks on you, whatever. I've worn one or more for over 20 years, and a toe ring or three for 10 of those years. Only thing is I wonder why I didn't do these things before! I see these things as an enhancement to my look, and I think I look OK at least.

Sure they are okay if its your 'look'. I wear a couple of Celtic style copper ankle torc bands. For me they are a little less feminine than most anklets - but then again its personal choice.
Ebay is a good source or you could make your own as I am sure a lot of folks do.
