I know some of you are in school or are preparing to start. Im just curious what you all are majoring in...or what you already may have a degree in? =] Im a special education major...I think once I get my license to teach [1.5 years left] I'm gonna continue my education and train to become a childrens psychologist. That's my dream job!
i'm getting an BFA in painting, when i transfer im going to be majoring in animation. maybe in my 30s i'll get a masters degree in psychology. i'd like to be an art therapist.
Isn't it the saddest thing though ? I took medical psychology and got to spend some time in childrens psychiatry. It was awful, I could never do it....
Im sure it's awfully sad. I have no experience in the field as of yet. But just having the opportunity to make a difference in a childs future would be worth it...even if it was only a small handful of kids I helped...
An MA in psych was my original game plan. Ha. I started and got my AA in psych which was a lot of fun...but then I got distracted and changed my major to teaching. It sucks with a degree in psych you have to have a MA or higher to do anything with it...an AA or even a BA is useless
ooops...sorry to double post but I meant to add that art therapy would be a killer job! A friend of mine is a music therapist and she couldnt be happier!
After uni I'm thinking about working with kids and doing craft days or something, or summer workshops or something Doing ym next essay solely on kids development and seeing if craft is an important factor
I majored in useless & minored in getting really high, but hey it was fun. Sociology would have been better. The exchange student that lived with my family 11 years ago just visited us a while ago and asked me what I learned in college. Hers was "cash is king" mine was "the analysis yielded no significant result"
lol right? Im already 30,000 dollars in debt to student loans. When I do graduate Ill be working the rest of my life just to pay off the loans! Its silly. If I already wasnt knee deep into this Id probablly never gone to college. I shouldve invested more energy into being an entrepeuner. oh well
my ummm "major" or the career Im supposed to be head to when I get into uni is mecatronic or something sci fi sounding like that which is really just a random choice in which I could take calculus cybernetics and physics and then fill my other classes with pure unadultered just show up classes, including philosophy but that one is not optional its the only class you really have to take, also taking communication and theory of history which I can proudly say I have learned nothing from yeah so long story short no major as of yet, officially at least, maybe Ill study free time administration which I swear is a real career, dont know what its about but it pretty much sounds like what I do already now that I think about it maybe Ill study to get into the cold meats section at a hospital
Business Administration with a Minor in either Communications or Journalism im not sure yet havent picked the minor. Business seems like the only way to at least maintain a steady lifestyle so imma stick with it as my major
i did computer science, and now am doing nutrition at uni. pretty different things to study but all very interesting. like the others i will be paying off uni fees for ever
well i was a massage therapist but im going to school with undeclared major maybe music?? maybe psychology
