very nice i've always kinda wanted to get a bubbler, but i hate ashing them. i'm sure i'd smack it in my hand every now and then when i'm really stoned and spill water all over if i got a bubbler i'd want it to have a slider bowl but those were like $200 at the headshops i went to

ive never seen anyone ash a bubbler, did it have a tiny hole or something? you just pull it through when its ash nice bubbler it looks like its old fashioned if there was such a thing. im sure it will be beautiful when it starts changing color also if you didnt know you can put something black behind it to see what it will look like once it changes colors
if you constantly pull through ALL the ash, the bubbler would get filthy and clogged. usually after i smoke a bubbler, the owner takes it outside and blows the ash out of the bowl, or uses a toothpick or similar poking device to scoop the ash out.
Exactly, and with lots of bubblers the whole isn't big enough to properly suck the ash through so there is a nice ash cake just sitting at the bottom of the bubbler. Blowing out the ash is the easiest way to do it, but we always have a safety pin handy in case any piece gets clogged. You never know when a bit of resin will end up blocking you path to getting ripped, and when that happens you should have tools on deck to teach that bit of resin a lesson.
^^you got it i imagine a bubbler to be a pain in the ass when it comes to that kinda stuff but don't get me wrong, they are still pretty sweet. i'd just rather own a piece with a removable slide
Yeah I prefer removable slides too, especially for how easy it makes cleaning since the joint where the slide connects will be a lot bigger then either the mouthpiece or hole at the bottom of a regular bubbler, which makes removing nasty ass resin a breeze really. Only problem I have with removable slide bubblers is that you are just giving people more separate parts to break lol. Especially since the slide is the easiest part to break and if you don't have a backup you're basically fucked until you buy another slide. Then again if the person drops your slide they're probably going to drop the whole damn thing. I love bubblers, I wish I didn't break my only one two years ago at just slightly past midnight on Thanksgiving day. I was watching weeds, put the bubbler down beside me while I was grinding my herb and it fell off directly onto one of the 5 legs on my computer chair. I was heartbroken lol, but I bought two nice ass spoons the next day to make up for my loss
yea i just broke my Kaos bong that i've had for like 5 years. but the downstem and the slider didn't break. so now i DO have an extra slider for my new bong my new one has a diffuser on the removable, glass-on-glass downstem, a percolator, and ice catchers - all which my old bong didn't
Fersure nice upgrade, plus personally I prefer smaller beakers to big ones. If I'm going for big I want a nice quality straight tube, like my 19 inch 9mm Illadelph. Sadly though Nate broke the female joint on it so it needs to get some repairs done. I don't mind though as atm I have a sickass 9 slit inline-diffused bong w/ ice pinches, a 6 arm tree percolated ash catcher, and a few slides for it. My favorite slide is my green, white, powder blue, and unobtainium ice pinch slide. I should purchase a new bubbler, though I would like to get one blown by Natty as I already have a super sick dry piece blown by him, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mouthpieces he uses on his pieces. Everyone who uses it tells me that it is the best hitting dry piece they've ever had the pleasure of smoking out of

I love the colors and my new guy hits like a champ. I got out of work at 2 and been puffing on it all afternoon =]. Next, I will get a 3 footer (or 4, i have a 2 footer already) or something really crazy. Man, I agree, I broke my footer after 3 years. I miss that small bong, it was perfect when in the car.
