    ok so Im pissed off.....

    I need to vent...............

I make and sell alot of stuff online on different sites, everytime I create something all my effort goes in and I try to make it perfect,my photos take me ages to perfect,my items are unique ect...

Lately everthing I make is being ripped off by another seller,my photos,my ideas,my backgrounds,my models......Im so pissed I cant explain,I mean how fukin hard is it to come up with a new idea??

Its just that I work so hard and it just feels like she is feeding off my hard work. She in the last 2 days has copied some items, backgrounds and titles!!!!!!!!
This has gone on over a year but lately its worse than ever.

My boyf thinks I should email her and politely say 'back off' but I dont even want to speak to the stupid woman.

I know that no idea is new and everything has been done before but this is BLATANT! shall I email her or ignore??

    What shall I do???

Even if you told her to back off I'm not sure you could be certain of any effect. People cheat and copy, and its a bitch when they get away with it but in the long run she's the one that lacks the creativity to think for herself and there's got to be a point where her lack of originality lets her down. I'm gonna have to step back and admit I don't know exactly what it is she's copying though. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery?

First off...I want the link to your site! Ive been wanting to buy a hat from you for awhile now!
Secondly...I think thats prob the risk you take when you have an online store that the whole world can view. Id say go ahead and KINDLY write her a message if it makes you feel better but you cant expect much in return. As Bubbletonic said at some point her lack of creativity will bite her in the butt. Is there some way you can block her from viewing your site?

ohmygawd I'd hate that!!! It's one thing getting ideas from someone but copying is just wrong. Is there anyway you can write to the site and ask if there is anything they can do?

Unfortunatly I cant really do anything about it except have a word with her and I REALLY dont want to as I hate stuff like that. The site I use,Etsy cant do anything and I cant block her from seeing my site either.
Its just that,I cannot understand how someone would copy everything and think I would'nt notice! Its just so rude,my photos are being copied too,and I know it sounds like Im being petty but FUKFGGJYTYJFRGFBCUBGNGFJTD

It's always gonna happen as long as your makin good shit. If ya stuff was ugly no body would be copy cat'n your style. If you don't feel like sayin nothin then don't, take it as a compliment....a really frustrating compliment.

Or, you could send her some email and be like, "ho, I hate yo lazy uncreative ass. If I ever catch you in the street, I will burn yo hair!"

I'm pretty sure there is SOMETHING etsy can do. People are always suing/or threatening to sue people who blatantly copying their personal work.
Copyright your work. Is she simply making the same exact thing you are and selling it? Using your photos to sell her work?
I'm not 100%, but I think one needs another person written permission to use their images for profit use.

She'll get bad karma anyway, stealing your work. That sucks...I would send her a private message saying how hard you work on your stuff and how much of a dissapointment it is to see her doing such a thing. Ask her to back off for sure, and tell her to get her own ideas. If she doesnt get the drift say you'll get as many ppl as you can to boycott her shit. Stealing other ppl's ideas and work is an awful thing, yo! Good luck and peace!

Chemigals, is she using your pictures or your words exactly? If not... there is not much you can do other than contacting her. Is she making any sales or profit from what she is copying? And I do believe it could be possible to block her if you own your own site and can get her IP... however, if she's stealing it off Etsy, then that option is available to you.

I know that a lot of the work I do online gets stolen. I will write a 500 word article just to find that someone else has copied and pasted it word for word and added their own links, etc. I will often times tell them I'm going to write their hosting company and show them where they copied my work from... this is usually enough to get them to stop. However, I no longer bother... I just ignore them. The only reason I'm being copied is because I produce great results. I may have my work taken, but they can never take my brain and ideas.... they will always be stupid and a copy cat.

I would be surprised if Etsy didn't have some sort of a disclaimer about copying your work though....

Good luck! (Btw, I've been using youtube to find some tricks for the hoop and I've come across yours a few times! lol... I Love seeing you!)

Well, thing is that she has not stole my pics, just my ideas, her pics have changed dramatically to look like mine and her items are identical. Its happened on my ebay site aswell.
Everytime I make something 2 days later there is a identical cheaper version on her site.

Ive looked on Etsy forums about the copying thing but its all to do with buying copyright and shit and tbh it seems like too much shit to look into. Also ppl will always copy no matter what, its just close to home thats all :(

    My shop link is
    http://www.etsy.com/shop/chelsuba

Maryland I dont make the dreadlock stuff as much anymore but will if you or anyone else wants something though.
Im trying to make things that appeal to more ppl now, hence the berets ect....

Daisy that really sucks how ppl can be so blatant,it makes you feel like not bothering does'nt it? Some Ppl can just be so fukin rude! (I need to make sum more tutorials btw,I feel bad because ppl keep asking and Im so busy).

I think Im going to ignore,I was really wound up yesterday but Ive calmed down a bit now,I kinda feel sorry for her in a way,her brain must be like poopoo if she cant get her own ideas! :)

Thanks to everyone for the advice :cheers2:

i used to make tams and sell them on etsy and other sites and there was this one chick that did the same thing. every time i would come out with a new hat, she came out with one exactly like it a few days later at $5 or so less. same colors, same pattern, etc. lost a lot of business to that little scamp. i quit making tams anyway, but i know how it feels chemi. makes you not even want to try anymore.
