    Wanna play a game?
ok. you are the promoter for Woodstock. You can get any musician to play.Who would you bump and where would you put the artists that you would invite?
I would bump Bert Sommer and then I would put Bob Dylan after Joan Baez.

I think that Donovan is a great choice! No insult intended towards Bert Sommer but I grew up in that time, and I honestly don't know who he is.

Well, since I never heard a single Bert Sommer song...

and I never heard a Quill song...

I'd bump them for Dylan and The Beatles.

If you are going to bump somebody to add someone else, are you adding someone in the same spot or would you prefer them to go somewhere else? The important part about being a promoter is where you place somebody.

I'd switch Jimi Hendrix with the Who and have Blue Cheer play before Jimi and after Janis Joplin. Sly and the Who can go to the last day :D

I'm gonna have to come across as a bit ignorant, but I don't know pretty much any of the artists on the Friday, but I'm sure I could trade one out for Cream

Cream would be a great choice! The only thing is they would have to be scheduled on a different day. First day was strictly folk singers.

Y'know, I was gonna bump Bert Sommer, but then I checked out who he was... I think he's pretty and I like his hair, so we'll keep him. (Yes, I'm perfectly aware that I probably wouldn't actually see him close enough for that to matter.)

I think I'd ditch Joan Baez (I honestly have just never been much of a fan of hers) for Bob Dylan (even though I don't think he'd be into that) and Tim Hardin (whom I've never heard of) for Donovan.

I would bump Sha-na-na and I think I would put The Doors in their spot.
The first time I saw Sha-na-na was in the documentary on Woodstock. So I think the Doors would be a better choice to put in their place. I can't remember where I heard it, but the reason the Doors chose not to play was because they wanted to close the festival.
