I havent smoked that many times, but when I did I get the really bad munchies. I eat, way too much, when I smoke. Is there anything you can take that will prevent the munchies, that wont affect the effects of the weed? I know it might seem like a stupid question, but I would appreciate the help.
do something that doesn't make you bored or hungry or anything to remind you of food.. smoke n toss a frisbee youll completely forget about food..
thanks dazed for answering my post. I tried last time not thinking about it, but I am always sitting down when smoking. Next time I will have to do something more distracting.
I've learned to just sit thought it, if you can hold out at first, they'll go away eventually. Once you start eating though it's over, you can't take that 1st bite.
Why not have something set aside that isn't high in calories or really bad for you when you get the munchies. Or smoke pot before your meal.
Thats the best way to go about it. You could also try eating before you smoke. Its makes it easier to fight off the munchies when you remind yourself you just ate. Maybe chewing gum could help, I don't know for sure though, but I am sure it cures your cottonmouth when you have nothin to drink.
I've heard also that marijuana speeds up your metabolism a little bit too, thus giving you the impression of hunger.
i cant believe you are looking to "take" something to prevent the munchies. like what an aspirin? thats worse for you than the weed is. try this.... EAT. eat first, so that you arent hungry. eat during the munchie fit, invest in carrots, celery, and rice cakes. prep a meal and eat it. start baking cookies (or potatoes, or whatever) before you smoke. then by the time the munchies hit, its almost grub time anyway (set a timer) keep in mind that appetite stimulation is one of the medical reasons why people smoke. if you cant handle the 'side effects' get out of the kitchen.
drink water or just eat healthy things, i used to chow down on fast food but now fruits blow my mind and help with cotton mouth
Well Iam going to thank you all even the critique. I smoked today, and I drank water, ate some rice snacks, and cooking them, and just waiting thru it, worked.
I quit bud for a while due to my intense munchies. I just can't stop myself from eating. I tried and tried and tried but a huge cheeseburger when baked is inevitable. Now that I stopped smoking I can easily eat a turkey sandwich with only mustard and be happy.
Healthy stuff is good, something light that won't make your digestion angry the next day. Eat before you smoke, go for a walk with a little snack, have something ready when you get home.
