    my question is :

is it true (or more likely to happen) that people with shorter hair that start dreads (neglect method) turn out in the end with more uniform-dreads ( texture, i mean not sections or anything) vs people with longer hair

the reason i ask is cuz i heard that from a dready mama last night, and im considering cutting my long hair to a more shorter length

im in my first month of neglect no combing no wax no nothing

I think longer hair looks way more awesome when its in the process of dreading. you get all kinds of crazy ass loops and randomness. I guess if you want more uniform dreads, the hair would be a lot easier to rip apart into similar sizes if the hair is shorter, but its probably going to make the whole process take longer if it is shorter.

well u know people are going to keep posting the same thread, so why dont u just answer them?

as far as ive seen on timelines, i didnt go neglect, short hair just produces less loops, bumps and usually skinnier. long hair is pretty much the opposite, but its all random, u never know how its ganna look in a year.

eh whatever floats your boat then i guess. I would want to have as much hair as possible to dread.

Because linking to two other threads provides WAY more answers to basically the same question than I could provide with my one opinion.

I'd say start with long hair first, cause it tends to shrink up quite a bit. So unless you like having short ass hair, just keep with the neglect and not cutting. Unless you're really OCD and want super uniform dreads... which might not happen anyways.

longer hair knots faster then short hair.

+With shorter hair you go through a point where you can't do much with ya dreads because they're at the annoying length.

I started my dreads when my hair was three inches and they are by no means uniform right now. Even after 2 and a half years. And because of the nature of dreads I doubt there is any correlation between hair length when starting and texture
