Well through the UN anyway, and although it would seem steps or measures should be taken against the USA for some of the illegal international intervention... would anyone really win anything from Economically starving the USA. I mean, the other superpowers massively rely on the money flowing in from the states, just as much as the USA relies on the goods flowing from them. Maybe anyway =/
Countries can make their own economic sanctions, they don't need to be UN involved. But America basically falls into that too big to fail category of countries were businesses. Everyone does business with us. We are the home of a great deal of the world's multi national corporations and financial institutions, we are the top importer in the world which drives economies that depend on exporters and we are top exporting destination for 60 countries. Other countries literally can't afford to embargo us.

And Tony Blair up today…. Thing is nothing really that’s come out really wasn’t strongly suspected or very much known at the time. But remember the Conservative opposition and the right wing media went along with going to war. I think it was the Sun newspaper (Murdock press) that dismissed the UK’s biggest public demonstration as irrelevant seemingly on the grounds that everyone that didn’t go on the march was actively in favour of the war. Basically we have the same problem as the US we have a political system that is failing us.
This is one of those awful things - you're completely right. Silence is acceptance... and is seen as such by the powers that be. It's very sad indeed.
