Well I met gangrel! and tried to get Ardal O Hanlon to sign my jocks ...he didnt do that...he did buy me a pint though
It's not a gateway drug for me. I was addicted to Ecstasy way before I even touched Marijuana, and Marijuana was the only thing to get me to stop my addiction. Now I've been smoking for about 2-3 years now and I have never touched any other drug, despite the fact at how I used to always want to try coke, salvia, shrooms, acid, etc. I've never done it since I started smoking, nor even think about ever trying those drugs anymore. So to each his own...
marijuana is illegal because it would replace a lot of medicines the gov. makes money off of. Yes it would bring in some nice profits, but nowhere close as all the other crap like tylenol and nyquil. Think about it, thats also the reason for propaganda. The only reason, to turn people away from a plant that can help dull pain and open the mind. random thought
i believe its only a gateway drug if you let it become one. In the end, only we are responsible for what we put in our bodies. But the fact that its so easy to access other drugs from a weed dealer, makes it very tempting.
very true. The government are the biggest drug dealers. They created the war on drugs. We pay the dealers, and the FBI busts the dealers and steals every penny they find. Why do you think Bush invaded Afghanistan? A reason being.. heroin. They produce the most heroin in the world, and now they have complete control. Its all about money and control.
Oh jesus, what reasons hasn't Bush invaded Afghanistan for. We have no control over Afghan poppy production, in fact we have no control over a good deal of the county side period. This is the reason poppy production has soared.
With the OP's logic, anything can be a gateway drug. One of my first "gateway drugs" was probably my mother's amniotic fluid.
y'know what, fuck the whole "gateway drug" term. it's just something the gov't says to make you put a subconscious conection between weed and other shit. and if everything is as the op says and all drugs are gateway drugs then why does the term gateway drug need to exist? this is utter bullshit.
I smoke weed everyday but it doesn't mean it's addictive. I've tried harder stuff after smoking weed, but it doesn't mean its a gateway drug. can you dig it? and the gateway drug theory operates on the pretense that drugs are bad. I think we all know better.
Why here? You surely must know the pro-legalization stance of this website so why "share" this at all? Are you operating under the delusion that somehow reading this coming from you will change everyone's mind? I do not accept the premise of what you've said on so many levels- but my primary beef is with the idea that a substance is responsible for a decision and not the user who made the choice... that marijuana use so impairs judgment that a person under its influence can no longer comprehend inherent dangers of harder drug use and therefore is less personally responsible for decisions made while stoned. Bullshit. Anti drug propaganda is the gateway to the fabled land of ignorance and clearly you seem to be under its influence... and your name is "Gangabeliever". You have surely strayed. Sugar is a gateway drug to obesity.. shall we ban it?
Hmm funny thing is I didn't find marijuana until I was doing acid, and didn't even think of doing acid until I was getting wasted half the time, so I think alcohol was my gateway drug lol. But in all seriousness I think the other drugs come in hand when you just know people who are dealing with the "illegal drug" scene like TNS suggested. Like my friend said she'd never do anything but weed, but then one day her dealer throws her a perc with her weed bag and it's a different story lol.
It's a gateway drug for some people, but not for others. So no it's not "the" gateway drug... It's just one of the billion possible drugs people could like do to first....
