so I am a guy (17) pleaasee ignore my info k thx. so basically. whenever i get like a new flannel shirt, I alwaysss obsess about the length, and how far it goes past my belly button and such. like this new flannel i bought, I KNOW it fits me FINE, and is even prolly a bit to long, yet, I just have this burning self conscious insecurity in my head that its too short. Like it goes way past my belly button, but every time I look in the mirror, I just keep thinking ehh it could be longer.... And everytime I see myself in a reflection, I'm always just thinking ughh it could be longer.... (the front of the shirt and how far the shirt tails go down) its become like a disease. I just can't feel comftorable in a shirt, even if I KNOW it fits fine and looks great. like I seriously don't know why I fucking think this way. I guess it has to do with hipster flannels, and how disgusted i am with hipster fashion, and want to be as unlike that as i can, so if its seemishly short how i might give off the idea that im hipster? idunno, this is like a subconsious insecurity that is driving me CRAZY every time i where this shirttt. Every time I'm wearing it im constantly looking in the mirror telling myself.. yeahh it fits fine dude.. even tho im told in my mind its too short, even tho it fits FINE. wwttfff

yeah what's up with hipster flannels???
regular flannel is where it's at. If your getting real stuff you gotta get it at a thrift store, preferably used.

just to point out, your avatar is wearing a barrette.

the only way to solve this thoroughly is to learn how to make your own clothes and make them to your specifications.
or you could buy shirts way oversized, and alter them down to your size except for the length.

what would help you.. here are your options

-continue on and keep stressing yourself out (i don't recommend)
-decide on a "non-hipster" length, whatever that is, and stick to that or longer
    -stop buying flannel shirts

There's a group of kids in my school who wear flannel all the time. All 5 of them were flannel everyday and its always gay fuckin' bright colours.

They're kind of like our rival paint crew. They crossed a piece I worked on for like 2 weeks so the next time I see them I'm gonna paint there fuckin' faces. I don't even care. Normally I'd let it slide but these kids are soft and need to know that you don't cross someones shit that they worked on... Like fuck if I just did a little tag I wouldn't care if they crossed it that much. But this was a huge fuckin' piece.

lol.... I actually just got kinda mad thinking about it.

flannel should never have bright colors, never

and if you're a guy you best be thin if you're wearing flannel, and keep the top button or 2 undone.
